If you have an iPhone, iTouch, Kindle, or smartphone, you MUST check out the InstaPaper app. There are two versions, free and paid (about $5). Here's how it works.
You make an account and drag a little "read later" icon to your browser's bookmarks toolbar. You are reading a blog or forum thread or whatever and say to yourself, "Wow, this is good, but I don't have time for it now." So you click on the read later bookmark. InstaPaper stores it for you, both as a graphical page and a text page. (It's quite good at making readable text out of a complicated page. I have used it for an ML thread and WalkerP's book blog already.) Now, when you got to the InstaPaper app on your mobile device (I'm using an iTouch) the page is there. Yesterday on the airplane I read about 20 posts from Rob Donoghue's EXCELLENT Space to Think blog. *Edit Last edited by Dabo; 03-11-2010 at 01:33 PM. Reason: Fixing URL |

Hmm, sounds promising. Is the idea that it makes a sort of customized newspaper of all the things you want to read?
Are they all on the same page? Can you print it out? |

It's one of the options (printing) on the main page for the software. Not bad at all..though I'm still eReader-less.

It doesn't combine them into one file, but I actually prefer that it doesn't. It does let you "star" articles, sort them into folders, and/or archive them. SO I could have a folder called The Best of ML and accumulate copies of threads from here that I like that folder. I find it a great tool for sorting role playing ideas I want to keep track of, book reviews of books I want to read, etc.
